A Note From Founders Barbara & Michael — And What 2026 Holds

Does anyone else feel this way?

2025 flew by, the last five years even more so — and now, here we are in 2026.

As business owners, each year tends to be busier than the last — in the best possible way. But somewhere between caring for others, growing a business, and managing life, some of the things we intend to do (like blogging and staying closely connected with our community) can slowly fall down the to-do list.

This year, we’re changing that.

In moving from the Year of the Snake — a powerful time of transformation, renewal, and letting go — into the Year of the Fire Horse, a symbol of forward motion and intention, we’re choosing to take more purposeful action. One of those actions is reconnecting with you more regularly and sharing what we’re learning along the way.

What We’re Doing in 2026 — And Why

At MO+, we believe wellness shouldn’t feel like work. It should feel like restoration.

For the busy doers out there, we’ve taken the legwork out of wellness. In a world flooded with trends, fads, and endless “must-do” routines, wellbeing has quietly become another pressure point on an already overloaded life.

The challenge for most people isn’t motivation — it’s knowing what truly works.

If you don’t have time to decode the wellness hype — or you simply want options that are effective, eco-gentle, and genuinely proven to help you feel whole again — we’re here to help.

This year, we’re unfolding something new — a way to inspire restoration, recharge, and meaningful “me-time” without overwhelm.

As many of you know, over the past 5 years Michael and I have been travelling by motorcycle through some of the most beautiful towns across country NSW and Victoria — intentionally curating and collecting insights on standout wellness stays and experiences along the way.

Yes, it was a tough job (not really — but someone had to do it). What began as a passion project during COVID, when overseas travel was off the agenda, became an opportunity to follow our bliss and explore the beauty of our own Australian backyard.

Along the way — after many dirt tracks, dusty roads, tens of thousands of kilometres and the odd freeway stop — we discovered places and practices that truly restore, not just look good on paper. We fell in love with the small, iconic communities and wellness hubs tucked throughout the countryside — quiet sanctuaries devoted to peace, rest and renewal.

Now, we’re sharing our reviews of some of our favourite wellness travel destinations and experiences, so you can skip the guesswork and go straight to what truly works.

We hope you’ll join us on the ride as we continue to explore the endless possibilities of wellness, near and far.

Introducing: The Renewal Edit - Wellness ideas worth saving.

At MO+, we created The Renewal Edit as our digital voice — a feel-good wellness lifestyle guide and curated space to share the places, practices and products that genuinely help you slow down and feel better.

It’s where we spotlight and review:

  • Spas and wellness services

  • Destinations for wellness travel and calmcations

  • Thoughtful self-care products we truly recommend

Think: go here, try this, we love, save for later — shared freely, with intention, and always with your wellbeing in mind.

You can follow along with The Renewal Edit at @mopluswellnessbondi for regular updates and short-form wellness inspiration.

Our First ‘The Renewal Edit’ Feature: Slowing Down in a Year of Momentum - The Shearers Hut

Some years arrive quietly.
Others arrive with energy you can feel.

The Year of the Fire Horse is one of those years — filled with momentum, movement, and a subtle sense that everything is asking us to move faster. As founders of MO+, we spend much of the year holding space for others — supporting wellbeing, recovery, and rest in a world that rarely pauses.

This year, we felt called to do the same for ourselves.

When Wellness Becomes Essential, Not Optional

In Chinese philosophy, the Fire Horse symbolises forward motion combined with intensity. It’s energising and inspiring — but without care, it can also lead to depletion.

We notice this energy not as stress exactly, but as a quiet restlessness. The kind that builds gently when life is full.

Wellness in a Fire Horse year isn’t about doing less. It’s about moving with awareness. Supporting the nervous system becomes foundational — through breath, stillness, nature, and gentle body care.

Which is why wellness travel feels especially resonant.

Our Year Began at The Shearers Hut, Twamley Farm — Buckland, Tasmania

Nestled in the open farmland of Buckland, Tasmania, The Shearers Hut at Twamley Farm offered exactly what this moment called for — simplicity, silence, and space.

There was no agenda. No pressure to “do”.
Our day unfolded slowly. Morning was quiet. Afternoon drifted into an evening of crisp air and deep calm.

Nature sets the pace here — and in doing so, gently recalibrates the body. Fresh air, expansive skies, grounding earth underfoot. These are the elements that soothe a nervous system that’s been holding too much for too long.

It reminded us that rest doesn’t need to be complicated to be profound.

Why This Kind of Travel Matters Now

In a year driven by momentum, choosing environments that support restoration allows movement to become nourishing rather than draining. The body softens. The mind follows.

Wellness travel isn’t about escape —
it’s about return.

A return to presence.
To breath.
To yourself.

This experience reaffirmed something we hold deeply at MO+: true wellness lives in rhythm — between movement and stillness, effort and ease, care and rest.

Bringing the Feeling Home

The most meaningful part of any wellness journey is integration — how you care for yourself when you return.

At MO+, our treatments are designed to support nervous system balance, recovery, and longevity — helping you bring that grounded, restored feeling into everyday life.

In a year that moves fast, we invite you to slow down with intention.

Book your next MO+ treatment and give your body permission to exhale.

With care,
